Lake Day!

Lake day on Grandpa and Grandma's boat with the cousins!

The girls were so curious and wide-eyed when we first got on the boat and started moving.

They loved floating in the water, but not by themselves. So at first, Daddy had both girls until Mommy got in!

We had some very bold and/or hungry geese that swam all around us.

Jude had fun getting his finger bit by a big Daddy goose...

Simone fell asleep on Grandma...

Here's some random pictures for ya!...

Being that we were a laundromat family for the past 10 years, he's never had warm-out-of-the-drier-blankets thrown on him. He loooved it...

Jude practiced riding his bike without training wheels last weekend. For the record, the training wheels are back on, but he had a lot of good "practice."

Daddy played the "fun" parent last weekend and picked up Braum's ice cream and cones for a happy afternoon snack...

Simone...

We have so many itty bitty frogs in our backyard! Jude and the girls have become pros at catching them...

Poor froggie. Our kiddoes like to squeeze you and poke you and squeeze you over and over until well, you become very still...

Eh, just hanging out in the outfit he picked out for the day and I thought it was picture worthy...

Kisses from my youngest, Simone...

We spent a few afternoons at the cousin's neighborhood pool and the kids loooved it! Our little fishes...

Pool Time

We're having pool time every single day around here!

Oh and sharing the water hose can be difficult sometimes... Who believes that pouty lip is for real??

And notice the progression of photos below as Roxie starts to splash...

Big Changes!

I know I am looong overdue in writing a post and giving you pictures of the kids. But we have had a whirlwind over the last month. And even though we've accumulated a bit of a following on this blog...it has always been solely for family living faraway. My family has always remained my motivation for posting pics. With that said,  the changes in the last few months went un-posted. ...and keeping up with the blog now will be difficult.
Because we've moved to OOOOOOhklahoma!
Since the day we found out we were having twins back in January of 2013, we knew we would need to make our way back closer to family. I always said I would need to be near family when/if we had our 3rd child. And welp, that came a bit faster than we anticipated. :) We would of preferred, in a perfect world, to have moved before bringing home the girls and avoid moving them to a new house after so many recent changes. But as the adoptions were being finalized last summer and fall we just couldn't jeopardize any movement we were experiencing on the India timelines to justify a move across the country. That would have meant Home Study updates and many more hoops to jump through.
So once we hit that 6 month mark of having the girls home, we felt like we could finally make such a big move and work toward finding some normalcy fairly quickly in Oklahoma.

So here's some random pictures of the last few weeks to get you up to speed: (The kids are doing fabulous 1 week into our new home. We have nearly tripled our space, gained a yard, and gained lots of nearby family! So far so good!!)

Okay, so here's a picture of our last Saturday morning in NYC. I'm pretty sure one of the things I will miss the most about the city was the endless amounts of food options and varieties. Nothing will come close to it. For my last weekend breakfast I chose Colombian just a few blocks away. Best coffee, best everything. So cheap. A breakfast to feed a family of 5 all packed into one styrofoam dish. YUM.

Our neighbor Nino. We loved spending our summer evenings on the porch and sidewalk talking to Nino and Maria. We could barely understand what they were speaking half the time and vice versa, but nonetheless we had a great friendship. Simone and Nino...

A typical evening not finding parking close to the house and getting the kids home by any means possible. Can you hear Simone screaming?...

One of our last afternoons at "our playground"...

We went to the Brooklyn Flea one last time and Jude scored a vintage TWA bag perfect for playing pretend...

We said our sad goodbyes to our Long Island friends on a beautiful spring morning...

We said our goodbyes to Mom's Bible Study group...

We visited the rooftop of Daddy's office one last time...

The last week of the move in NYC was HARD. The girls just didn't understand why Mommy was putting all their toys and every single thing we owned into boxes. Jude is at an age where he can understand, but the girls, oh the girls just were not happy. Mommy was not their friend the last few days among all the very confusing and unstable happenings... We were ready to get to a new normal.

Leaving New York and headed to the airport!...

Arriving in Tulsa and picking up our VAN from the dealership!! Mommy is HAPPY!!! The kids, eh, whatev...

Reason number one million why we moved to Oklahoma. Worn out Jude and his Pops....

And, achem, who knew the suburbs had these thingies at Target??!! What the heck? The Target in Queens needs to get a clue...I had 3 kids packed in the cart along with groceries when we shopped in Queens. This, this, this, was a BREEZE.

Learning the fine art of capturing rollie-pollies. My kids had never seen them...

Our first morning in our new house was Father's Day!...

I could get used to this kind of parenting real quick. Scream, run, whatever you want to do. I'll just sit hear and let you run around like crazies...

Having dinner outside...

Waking up and enjoying the morning view...

We have had so much fun enjoying the back yard, Playing in the sprinklers, watching blue birds and red birds, squirrels, and bunnies. The kids are in heaven!...

Say cheese for Daddy!...

Watering the plants during the girls' nap time. Jude and I have fallen into a nice little routine of taking the monitor to the front porch, letting him ride his bike and watering the plants. Oh and being extra loud. Just because we can...

We spent this afternoon over at the cousin's house playing in the hose, visiting the chickens, and enjoying the tree swing. Well, Roxie our little brave, lover of all swings, thoroughly enjoyed it!...

And on a side note, as I was pulling the garbage to the curb tonight I thought I saw a mouse running around the trash can. I squealed and jumped and tried to maneuver my way around the yucky mouse. Until I realized it was a frog. A frog. We're definitely not in NYC anymore!
